NCC in a Rack
Network Control Center |

|
The NCC2002 Network Control Center enables the interconnection of up to 16 MR2002 Strong Motion Recorders in a star topology network to
provide a high reliability distributed data acquisition system. Distributed recording allows digital data transmission to the NCC for better data quality
with low cost, easy-to-handle fiber optic (lightning immune) or current loop cable. The NCC Lite (NCCL) in a field case provides control functions for
smaller networks of up to 8 recorders.
Distributed recording is done by the autonomous MR2002s. The NCC coordinates all networks activities and monitors the on-line the operating status of each
recorder The NCC provides: time synchronization; common sampling, common triggering; network voting logic; high and low level alarm activation, etc. GPS, DCF
or IRIG-B time code receivers may be used to synchronize network timing. All trigger and alarm combinations and levels are individually programmable
so the user can setup an optimized network for each application. NCC options include an annunciator panel, alarm relay closures and automatic alerting capabilities.
The NCC provides normal access to any MR2002 in the network for parameter setting, on-line monitoring and data retrieval from the cantral station, or from
a remote location. The NCC may also be connected directly to a central analysis computer with Syscom software for on-line surveillance and data analysis.
